INVESTMENT GUIDE ART FOR ATHLETES
We take great pride in our creative & unique catalogue Collections and provide more choices each year to keep things fresh. Our goal is to create fine art sports portraits that will remain on your walls as art forever. As well as ensuring our sessions are a fun and positive experience that children and parents will enjoy and remember.
Art for Athletes provides clients with digital, royalty-free portraits. You have the option to print, or share your child’s portraits with family and friends through email and social media!
We will work with your parents, coaches and manager to ensure everyone is prepared for the session. And, we offer multiple convenient payment methods. If you have any questions regarding booking your winter sports portrait session, please email us!

ON ICE PORTRAIT COLLECTION (Indoor or Outdoor* Rinks)
Traditional with a twist. We use a combination of lighting and modern poses to ensure your on-ice portraits are unique keepsakes.
Each child’s personal portrait session is done on the ice during practice.
Approximate time for session: approx. 40 minutes/team (depending on size). Practice may resume during photos as photographer will only require 1/4 of ice surface.

UNDER THE LIGHTS COLLECTION (Scroll to bottom of page for most-recent hockey examples)
The newest addition to our Collections! This session can take place in an indoor area before the practice even begins! Examples may include the hallway, dressing room, or the player’s box. We will combine creative poses with dramatic lighting and fog to make your team’s images one of a kind!
It is the responsibility of the team to provide a suitable space (can be discussed with the photographer). An empty locker room is suffice. This Collection is done before practice, off the ice.
Approximate time for session: 60 minutes/team.

LOCKER ROOM DRAMA PORTRAIT COLLECTION (Traditional)
Our most popular collection! This portrait session takes place in a locker room using studio lighting for a dramatic effect. We will take you through a series of unique, creative poses – included the famous artsy skate-tie shot!
It is the responsibility of the team to provide a locker room. This Collection is done in the dressing room before practice.
Approximate time for session: 75 minutes/team.

ADD ON! - SIBLING or COACH/KID or COACHES SESSION
Want to get a few shots with both of your kids together? Or perhaps you’re a coach and want to get some with your child? Or a group of coaches? This is your opportunity to jump in!
Note that this is an add-on session to any of our Collections. No substitution to our regular packages. Permission from coaches is required as extra time may occur (particular to on-ice sessions). Managers, please advise the photographer if some of your team would like this add on.
Package includes 3 additional digital high resolution files for each family. (Plus 3 black & white copies of each file)

ADD ON! Professional Headshot Session
Here we have the perfect opportunity for your team to feel PRO! The professional headshot is perfect to showcase your team's brand. Use your team member's professional headshots on social media feeds throughout the year to reflect the pro image you want your team to portray! Or, use for printing & posting in home arena, or for your own personal cover photo or screensaver. This image is fire!
Package includes one headshot of each player plus a team collage (it is up to team to provide a high-resolution logo file if you'd ike it included as seen in image gallery sample).
Images are taken in a dressing room well before practice as players arrive. We will help coordinate schedule & outfits.

GREEN SCREEN PORTRAIT COLLECTION
The sky is the limit for green screen sessions! Portraits are shot using a green screen technique and studio lighting, and then digitally manipulated to create cool effects that transpose your child into virtual backgrounds. Choose from a variety of offered templates (see next page) or, request customization to meet your team’s theme (extra charges may occur, talk to us for your idea and quote).
Photo session done in change room or large area. Approximate time for session: 75 minutes/team.
Package includes:
- 1 individual poses of each player digitally manipulated onto a themed background - includes high resolution digital files (no prints)
- 1 Individual personalized Sports Mate to match themed background that includes team image - includes high resolution digital files (no prints)
- 1 Individual headshot
- 1 team photo collage (digitally mastered in Photoshop)

PERSONAL PORTRAIT MINI SESSION
If you would like a session for your child, without a team, you can book me for a personalized mini session.
Photo session done at a location of your choice. Some options include; locker room, studio, outdoor, or on ice. Note: It is the responsibility of the client to organize the location (if an arena or locker room is preferred).
Approximate time for session: 45 minutes.
Package includes:
- 10 digital high-resolution files - includes high resolution digital files (no prints)
- 10 Black & White copies of all files - includes high resolution digital files (no prints)
- Online digital gallery with access to download high-resolution digital files. (Royalty Free)
- Optional print ordering can be done thru digital gallery

*NOTE! There is a risk with Outdoor Shinny Collections to be cancelled / rescheduled based on weather. This is done for the safety of the children, and the risk to our equipment. Thresholds are;
1. Temperatures are below -28 with the windchill.
2. Winds are over 18km/hour
3. If there is any precipitation
